What does a Senior Financial Manager do?
As a Senior Financial Manager, you will oversee the daily accounting operations for an international portfolio of clients, collaborating closely with legal teams, support staff, and our Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Turkey. Your responsibilities will include managing complex client inquiries, handling specialised requests, preparing financial reports, and ensuring overall client satisfaction. You will play a key role in delivering comprehensive accounting and related services tailored to each client’s needs. You will report to the Operations Director.
Your main responsibilities and duties include:
- Overseeing daily accounting activities for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Preparing interim and regulatory financial reports in line with applicable standards and deadlines
- Drafting, consolidating and reviewing annual financial statements under Dutch GAAP and IFRS
- Managing periodic tax filings including VAT, corporate income tax (CIT), and wage tax
- Leading the preparation and revision of financial statements, including complex consolidations
- Monitoring and supporting debt collection
- Prioritising tasks and deadlines across multiple clients and reporting cycles, ensuring high-quality deliverables under pressure
- Contributing to audit and compliance activities
- Working closely with clients and external advisors
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear and professional financial guidance
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and tailoring accounting solutions accordingly
- Ensuring client satisfaction through proactive communication and reliable service delivery
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a motivational leader with excellent financial and accounting expertise, who can think strategically, identify and evaluate risks and make well-informed decisions under pressure. To be successful in this position you need to be an analytical problem-solver who can cut through complexity, but also a people person who can influence and collaborate successfully with others and foster connections with internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication and presentation skills (in English and preferably also Dutch) are a must.

- A Master’s degree in finance or accounting
- A minimum of four years’ relevant work experience
- Experience in drafting, reviewing and consolidating financial statements
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS
